Routes and Descriptions: :

MARANGU ROUTE: This is the most popular route and easiest one to the summit. It is the only route where climbers can stay in huts.

MACHAME ROUTE: This is a very scenic, beautiful and the next most popular route up Kilimanjaro.

RONGAI ROUTE: This is the second easiest route to Marangu. Also, one of the least traveled ones, and offer good scenic of the mountain.

LEMOSHO CRATER ROUTE: This is one of the longest one, and climbers stay at Crater camp (18,750ft) which can be very cold before summiting the mountain. It is also possible to do Lemosho route without having to camp at crater camp.

UMBWE ROUTE: This is recommended for descending only.
